Purpose of job
The job is to perform duties to include but not limited to in house machine work, repairs, and upgrades to customer’s machinery and to repair used or manufacture new components per drawings and procedures.

Qualification Requirements

A strong hands-on and working knowledge of the manufacture and assembly of close tolerance turbo-machinery components.

Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of machinist experience.

A strong hands-on and working knowledge of machine shop practices and equipment.

Requires manual dexterity and ability to operate manual machines, tracer mills, manual VTL, Boring Mill (Line Bore).

The ability to work with close tolerance equipment under supervision from other machinist, Lead Man or Foreman.

Some mechanical experience required for resolution of equipment problems and recommended repairs.

Job Description
Position Summary
The Rotor Technician is responsible for performing manual labor along a production line. Additionally, under the direction of the Rotor Supervisor, the Rotor Technician is responsible for performing incoming inspection, assembly and balancing on steam turbine rotors, pump rotors or any rotating elements and capable of using precision tooling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities

Loading parts, operate controls, set offsets, debur and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements

Load parts into the Mill, Polisher, and Mazak; prove programs, operate controls, and make simple edits to programs
-
Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining
-
Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
-
Adjust machines, within capabilities, control or control media, as required, to ensure the quality of production.

Report all machine malfunctions to the Rotor Shop Supervisor

Operate within standard operation procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

Operate overhead cranes to move product to and from work cells, if required

Operate forklifts and lifting devices for movement of parts, if required

Purpose of Job
As Quality Inspector NDT Level III, you are responsible for ensuring the products we produce are of consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications. Training and mentoring Level II NDT Inspectors. Also, you are an invaluable member of our manufacturing team, ensuring the highest quality of production from receiving inspection to final inspection.
Background & Experience
This job requires a basic knowledge of several categories, they are as follows.
- ASNT-SNT-TC-1A NDT Level III inspection certification in MT, PT, UT required.
- 5+ years of experience performing UT, MT, and PT inspections.
- 5+ years of experience performing dimensional inspections using handheld inspection equipment. Such as calipers, verniers, OD Mics, bore gages, and various other tools.
- 3+ years of experience using a Keyence CMM preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in interpreting engineering schematics and drawings.
- 3+ years of experience interpreting and inspecting GD&T requirements.
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Power Point.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Good knowledge of the types of equipment repaired at our facility.

Basic Job Duties
- Perform NDT inspections (MT, PT, UT) and document findings.
- Train and mentor Level II NDT inspectors
- Perform receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspections per company and/or customer policies to ensure products meet standards.
- Works with the Shipping & Receiving Department to package and ship customer products.
- Document issues noticed during measurement or visual inspection tests within the company’s NCR database.

POSTION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to help us document and improve manufacturing processes, improve product and process quality, investigate and resolve manufacturing issues, and lead the implementation of capital equipment projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and repairs of compressors and other turbomachinery, including the manufacture of impellers; a strong foundation in managing manufacturing processes, and understanding of advanced machining technologies such as 5-axis CNC machine tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and project management skills is also highly valued.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, document, implement and promote lean manufacturing practices for executing repairs and manufacturing parts. Improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall production processes.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain strict quality standards and client expectations. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce defects and enhance overall product quality.
- Lead the development of a multi-million-dollar compressor revamp manufacturing cell, including the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of the required CNC machine tools and other equipment. Coordinate with other departments, resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead other capital equipment projects to enhance manufacturing and repair capabilities.
- Optimize facility layouts, production cells, and manufacturing workflows to improve performance.
- Resolve issues and delays in production through a systematic root cause & corrective action process.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Upgrade manufacturing processes with new technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering / technology, or related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing. Specific knowledge of rotating equipment and impeller manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes using manual and CNC machine tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices, statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies. Lean six sigma green or black belt preferred.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Project management experience, including a track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
