Account Manager Job Description

 

The Sales Representative –is responsible for representing Revak Keene Turbomachinery sales products in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sale of repair, parts and upgrades of Steam and Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Centrifugal Blowers, Pumps and associated products. This position will target sales prospecting and sales to new customers in the industrial markets. As part of a sales team, the Sales Representative –shares the responsibility with our sales team to act in a manner that ensures the continued stability and growth of all members of the team through a spirit of collaboration as well as a commitment to the same set of business values and a commonly shared mission.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

• Identifies and initiates contact with and influences potential buyers in a manner that is consistent with our mission statement and core values in order to meet or exceed territorial and corporate business goals

• Sources and grows sales with new business opportunities and develops new customers and current customers.

• Obtains, diagnoses, and responds to specific customer needs in order to enhance the quality of customer service and satisfaction and promote a mutually beneficial relationship
• Promotes products and services to existing customer base while expanding on that base in order to obtain territorial as well as organizational business goals
• Creates and submits accurate and timely sales-related reports and documentation in order to support business goals
• Meets all sales-related key metrics within the review period
• Contributes to the development, monitoring, and control of the sales forecast and expenses within the assigned territory in order to meet or exceed the business goals
• Completes special projects as requested by the General Manager in order to meet the changing needs of the company
• Travels to and from customer locations
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Work Hours:

• 40+ hours a week, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Revak Keene Turbomachinery products and product support services and programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
• Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long term business relationships
• Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
• Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Exceptional attention to detail and thorough completion of work tasks

Education and Experience:

 Minimum three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience are required. Six years or more preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
• A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license

Broad Function

To analyze and execute in house and field machine work and repairs and upgrades to customer’s machinery.

To repair used or manufacture new components per Foreman’s directions, Drawings and Revak procedures.

 

Qualification Requirements

1. A strong hands-on and working knowledge of the manufacture and assembly of close tolerance turbo-machinery components.
2. Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of machinist experience.
3. A strong hands-on and working knowledge of machine shop practices and equipment
4. Requires manual dexterity and ability to operate manual machines, tracer lathes, mills, some CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
5. The ability to work with close tolerance equipment while coordinating with all departments to keep the flow of work in proper direction. Must have the ability to achieve and meet the timely and cost-effective methods of repair and manufacture.  
6. Strong organized work ethic required to work with all involved with repair process from start to completion.
7. Some mechanical experience required for resolution of equipment problems and recommended repairs.
8. Requires strong machinist problem solving and math skills. Must be able to make his own tools, as required, to improvise repairs.
9. Requires Strong verbal and written communication skills (English). Must communicate between shifts, with QA/QC Dept, Foreman, lead man, tool room, and other machinists and mechanics.
10. Ability to complete documentation and written reports, read Mfg. drawings, make sketches, read precision measuring tools.
11. Very organized, good interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, “can do” attitude.
12. Ability to understand and comply with regulations and processes set forth in the repair procedures of the Revak Keene company.
13. Requires the ability to work component repairs from start to finish with very few or no questions on procedures.
14. Strengths include a very strong safety work ethic while maintaining a clean efficient work area.
15. Travel flexibility required.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

1. Perform in shop repairs and machining operations. Mfg. new components per drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions with very limited supervision. Requires attention to detail and very few reworks, rejections, or scrapped parts.
2. Coordinate with Foreman, Lead Man, Planner and QA/QC to ensure special repair requirements are met.
3. Organize and maintain an efficient clean machine shop area.
4. Document, Inspect, analyze and complete reports on equipment inspections and repairs.
5. Work overtime, as required, to meet customer emergency breakdown demands.
6. Willingness to learn and test for advancements based on abilities and ambitions presented by the employee.
7. Maintain reports and records via. Revak Keene standards.
8. Perform and promote Revak Keene safety standards within shop and field environments.
9. Travel, as required, to assist with field service or customer requirements.

1. The applicant will need a solid hands-on and working knowledge of the manufacture and assembly of close tolerance turbomachinery and reciprocal compressors.
2. Minimum of Fifteen (15) years of machinery repair experience with rotating equipment or Associate Degree in Industrial Mechanics.
3. The position requires a working knowledge of machine shop practices.
4. The ability to work with close tolerance equipment while coordinating with all departments to keep the workflow in the proper direction. Must have the ability to achieve and meet the time and cost-effective methods of repair and assembly.
5. The position requires strong skills in documentation and analysis of rotating equipment damages finding the root cause of failures and the repair process to bring the equipment back to or exceed OEM requirements.
6. A solidly organized work ethic is required to work with all involved with the repair process from start to completion.
7. Machinist experience is helpful in the resolution of equipment problems and recommended repairs.
8. The position requires solid mechanical problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
9. The employee should have experience and be willing to operate standard factory equipment.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Perform in-shop mechanical repairs, upgrades, and packaging of turbomachinery, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, damage analysis, modification, and assembly.
2. Mechanics coordinate with the Managers, Planner, and QA/QC personnel to execute special repair requirements.
3. Employee assists with preparation and packaging of repaired equipment for safe shipments.
4. Perform Field repairs of turbomachinery with directions from the field supervisor when required. 
5. The position requires the timely completion of expense reports and providing documentation for field service.
6. Organize and maintain an efficient repair shop area.
7. Mechanics document, inspect, analyze, and complete reports on equipment inspections and repairs.
8. Work overtime, as required, to meet customer emergency breakdown demands.
9. Travel, as required, to assist with field service or customer requirements.

We are looking for a highly skilled FP&A Manager to perform a variety of financial analysis and reporting related activities.  The candidate would ideally have prior experience working in an industrial manufacturing & service environment and is a hands-on finance leader.  This position reports to the VP of Finance.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly reporting activities including:

• Prepare all financial reporting and KPI slides for Executive Team and Board of Directors
• Perform variance analysis to provide insight to the business operations and risk areas
• Establish and prepare plant manager departmental reporting.
• Review and forecast weekly cash forecast
• Prepare daily Bookings Reports

 

• Support the Budgeting and Forecasting process
  • Work with the sales and business development to forecast volume
  • Work with operations to project production capacity and related cost based on projected volumes
  • Work with plant management and plant controller to track capital projects and forecast capital needs
  • Prepare Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budgets working closely with Executive Leadership Team

 

• Support VP of Finance with Ad hoc Plant Analytics and Capital Decision Making exercises

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Accounting/Finance Degree required
• CPA a plus
• 5-7+ years experience, prior manufacturing / industrial service experience desired
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls
• Strong computer skills - Advanced excel skills, strongly proficient with power point; comfortable working with other systems (Quickbooks experience a plus)
• Experienced in implementing and transitioning to an ERP System
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Good communication skills, ability to interact effectively with other departments at all levels

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide variety of opportunities in the in our service department. From researching and quoting future potential service opportunities, to being the design lead on multiple service projects where you will be responsible for developing and carrying out repair solutions. Responsible for shifting priorities to support other urgent unplanned work or help support our team with repair challenges. You will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced service repair team, in which you will learn, collaborate, develop, and execute a variety of repair solutions. You will also have direct collaboration with internal and external customers.

 

Responsibilities

• Working closely with a highly experienced, motivated team of specialists to apply expertise and broaden experience in all aspects of turbomachinery,
• Ability to influence existing product designs and new design standard methodologies by providing valuable aftermarket feedback
• Sensitivity to factors that may have commercial and/or manufacturing consequences
• Support the services business with creating inspection plans, reviewing findings, developing repair plans, supporting shop repairs, and writing reports for existing equipment,
• Lead and/or support reverse engineering projects by performing calculations, ensuring drawings are issued to required dates, and completing tasks within allocated budgets
• Provide mark-ups and information to direct drafting personnel so that they may correctly revise existing engineering drawings and/or create new engineering drawings
• Provide technical instructions to the field in support of installation or troubleshooting activities
• Support field service engineers and customers in forced outage recovery programs and root cause investigations.
• Communicate and convey ideas effectively to peers, suppliers, and customers, and deliver technical presentations to customers and management

Experience

• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
• 8+ years of turbomachinery engineering experience
• Design experience with strength of materials, structural analysis and machine design.  Ability to design using finite element analysis tools
• Knowledge and experience in design and, or repair of products
• Minor travel required
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from accredited university/college
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, in writing, and in technical presentations to customers or management
